Points Points toward an Oval Racing Championship (ORC) are awarded two whippets depending upon the number of starters. ORC points are awarded only to racers that have not yet earned the ORC title. In a fifteen dog meet, the top dog without an ORC gets one point. In a 20 dog meet, the top dog without an ORC gets 3 points and the 2nd gets one point. It takes 15 ORC points for a dogs to be awarded the Oval Race Championship.
